Terry

Terry started playing the Great Highland pipes in September of 2004, taking lessons with the Gates Keystone Police Pipes and Drums.  After seeing Rochester Scottish Pipes and Drums compete in grade 5 at the High Banks games, he also joined that band in December 2005.  In the fall of 2008, Terry left Gates Keystone to join Feadan Or Pipe Band and competed with them in grade 4 competitions during the summer of 2009.  Terry is now a pipe corporal with the Rochester Scottish Pipes and Drums.  Terry joined Ceilidh Connection in the spring of 2008.  He ordered his small pipes from Mark Cushing (Ithaca, NY) in the highland style (drones up on the left shoulder) because “I didn’t like the drones flopping around across my chest”.  Terry also enjoys playing the Highland or small pipes for weddings and funerals.
